Restored Archaic Period Artifacts
I've been restoring points for over 25 years. My hobby grew from years of searching plowed fields and discovering so many fine artifacts damaged. I developed my own techniques and formulas that I apply to each artifact, no damage is done to the original stone. With my all stone mixture I developed, it is no longer possible to remove the restoration unless it is very thin. I match the flaking patterns and colors as closely as possible leaving the restored area difficult to detect. It has never been my intention to pass off an artifact as whole which is why I have developed a certificate showing the before and after images. A restored artifact can never match the importance or value of a complete relic, but it's a great way to obtain rare displayable artifacts at a fraction of the cost.
